My Story & Mission

Informed Choices Strategy exists because navigating accommodations shouldn’t be mysterious or risky. Over more than two decades, I’ve designed and led disability services and reasonable‑accommodation programs in universities, hospitals, and federal agencies. From overseeing ADA compliance at a university to coordinating accommodations in large healthcare systems and government workplaces, I’ve seen the same problem: too many talented professionals hesitate to ask for what they need because the process feels confusing, adversarial, or even punitive.

My work has ranged from training HR teams and department chairs to drafting policies and running interactive processes for employees with physical, sensory, cognitive and mental‑health conditions. In every setting, I’ve listened to employees who didn’t know who to approach, what to disclose, or how to respond when managers pushed back. I’ve helped leadership teams understand that accommodations aren’t favors; they are compliance obligations and smart workforce strategy.

I founded Informed Choices Strategy to close that gap. My mission is to empower employees with disabilities to secure and sustain accommodations confidently and efficiently. The Workplace Accommodation Navigator distills the legal knowledge, practical strategies and self‑advocacy tools I’ve developed over years of working in higher education, healthcare and government. This program offers clear explanations of disability law, step‑by‑step guidance on documentation and requests, and proven scripts for conversations with HR and supervisors—all in plain language, without legal jargon or unnecessary complexity.
